I have been doing photography for 9 years and in that time I have done a lot of beautiful weddings on some amazing properties, seen beautiful dresses, photographed bridal prep and tasted some fantastic food. I have been so lucky to come in contact with some brilliant professionals and I want to get you connected to them too! Click on the vendors name to see the link to their website.

This venue is amazing. Located in Walnut Grove, CA. this place offers stunning pillars and fountains, plus options for your ceremony. This quaint venue is perfect for around 100 guests. I have to comment on the catering that was done here as well, although I did not eat any of the food, the presentation and the smell was enough for me to give them a thumbs up! As you enter the main doors there is a staircase leading down to the lower reception room where all the dancing, games and entertainment take place. The big staircase if perfect for a bridal party entrance. The staff dressed in perfect wedding attire while the landscape was cared for and clean which made it feel very classy. I had an excellent time here and would love to capture another wedding here soon.
If you haven't heard of the Old Sugar Mill, I would suggest you take a tour, especially if you enjoy wine tasting. Located in Clarksburg, CA. just outside Sacramento, this place is a treat! It is an Old Sugar Mill if you didn't get that already from the name. It hosts many events throughout the year including weddings. The venue is full of timeless brick that makes decorating super easy. The string lights add such a romantic ambiance to the open brick room and the extra super duper tall ceiling makes the room feel bigger (even though it's large). The Bridal Suite is roomy too with a large table for makeup, snacks, etc. This is a great venue for 100 - 150 guests. I would love to shoot here again because of all the different options this place has for pictures, including the vineyard across the street!
Spring Ranch is located in Little River, Ca. on the Northern Coast of California. It is a gorgeous piece of history which lends hands to many awesome features! There is a bridal suite, barn and so much more on property. We cannot wait to go back! Watch the film from Casey + Kiley’s film below to see why.
Bishop's Pumpkin Farm is a staple for Fall attractions in the greater Sacramento Area but did you know they do weddings too? Get married under a gorgeous tree with an iron fence walkway and take the train to your reception in the apple orchard! It's classy, country and beautiful. Their catering is all their own, I have never had wedding food from a venue that is this good and well thought out. You get a day-of wedding coordinator as well as peace of mind, which is huge for your wedding. The Bishop family has been doing amazing things for years and this is just another one of those things! May the nostalgia live on. This is a great place for 150+ guests with great options for food, venues and pictures!
Barns, Willow Trees, Ponds and more! This venue covers your classic country wedding with everything you can imagine. Kristin and the team added a new game changing white barn on the property that holds over 150 people easy. It is kissed with gorgeous chandeliers and farm style tables. It's dreamy! They have an onsite Bride AND Groom suite plus it's easy to find right of off Marysville Rd in Brownsvalley. It truly is a photographer and videographers dream when it comes to on site locations. There are so many little gifts this place has to offer that your wedding will not look like any one elses.
Located in the adorable farm town of Woodland, CA. The Maples is a gorgeous lush spanish country venue structured with the bride and vendors in mind! I do not have enough words to describe how much we enjoyed shooting here! It's a big space but everything is so localized it allows for you to capture so many beautiful scene changes within minutes! This a place ran by professionals for a bride looking for a seamless and honestly, worry free wedding. The bridal suite is lit by natural lighting, even the guys have a space complete with a pool table! We are so thrilled to add the maples to our list of preferred vendors and are tickled pink to go back in 2019!
Kevin and his team create magic. I can walk into a reception knowing that they were hired because that’s how different their work is. The flowers are fresh, well kept and put together with so much thought. I have always had a great experience with them and have yet to hear a bad review.
HAIR + DRESS
On your wedding day you want to feel beautiful, so hair is a huge part of that! From the moment I met Rose Newton at Tribe Salon and Spa in Roseville, CA. I knew I was never going anywhere again. Rose and Amanda have built an empowering, thought-out and humble world inside their frickin' awesome shop. The whole Tribe is talented, educated and genuine; you will feel all of that as soon as you walk through the door. I have never left disappointed and refer brides to her left and right. She not only does an amazing job at listening to what you want, she also makes you feel welcome, safe, beautiful and strong! Now that is how you want to feel on your wedding day but what is even cooler is after your wedding you have a friend and hair stylist for life!
Simply put this place is great. 85% of the Brides I work with from the Yuba Sutter Area get their dresses from this shop. Bree & the ladies do such an awesome job of making you feel comfortable and beautiful. There are lots of choices and solid natural light which helps a lot to see all the magic these dresses have to offer! I personally was referred here and loved my dress so much! This is an excellent place for bridal party, moms & groom too. This is not your cookie cutter David's Bridal...this is the real deal.
One of my favorite foods is Mexican. Oh dear, it's dangerous. One of my favorite places to have cater an event is La Unicas Mexican Food located in Yuba City, CA. Sina is super sweet and professional which helps the process to flow. Their food is hot, fresh and everything you could want from a Mexican restaurant but at your wedding! They come in and set up for your event full will chips, salsa, sour cream and all the choices you picked from the menu. It's delicious.
Although I have heard there is such thing as a “pizza bar” I always thought it was a Pinterest dream and super hard work, well it is a Pinterest dream but it can be reality and there is no hard work for you if you hire Bella Familia Wood Fired Pizza. Scott was in the flames pushing pizza out every minute it felt like, I stood back behind the oven captivated by the magic and technique he had. I was able to sneak in a small conversation to learn that they have over 50 weddings this year and travel all over the place! Although I did not get the pleasure of trying the food, as I never eat during a wedding, I can tell you from my other senses of sight and smell I would hire this place. Presentation, Professionalism and Personality are my 3 Keys to succuess and this place had them!
PLANNER / COORDINATOR
One of the best wedding expereinces we had was working with Jennifer Tan and her team at Tan Weddings and Events. Simply put if you are looking for a professional, quality and personable team that cares about everything they do, this is who you need to hire. I cannot express enough how sweet, timely and efficient they are. You shouldn't have to worry about a thing so let Jennifer and her team take your vision and make your day a seamless dream.

D J / M C
I have been to some weddings that don’t have a great timeline and there is always a lot of cake left because a lot of people left early when nothing is happening or they have to wait longer after they have already had cocktail hour. I think a main reason for this is your MC. A lot of people have DJ’s which are people who come in and play music. When you have a wedding, you need an MC. Someone who will direct traffic so you and your family do not have to do so unless its a smaller intimate wedding. With that said, I finally found a reference for my DJ/MC Vendor list!
Steve from TPSDJ’s was phenomenal and a pleasure to work with. His equipment is excellent along with us upbeat personality he keeps the party going!
Lonnie and I were blown away after working with Matt at Someone Said Yes! He is a MC/DJ who is so attentive, professional and personable. He has excellent equipment and even had a fog machine! We had a great time working with him. He is the 2nd in his field to add to our DJ list and I am thrilled. We look forward to working with him again soon.
